Perry Mandera is Chief Executive Officer of The Custom Companies, Inc, which he founded in 1986. A comprehensive transportation source, Custom Companies corporate office is located in Northlake, Illinois, with satellite offices throughout the United States. Annual sales exceed $2 million and organization personnel numbers in the hundreds. Custom Companies provides products and logistic service that include truckload and less than truck (LTL), dedicated contracts and local cartage, international and domestic air freight forwarding, as well as United States custom bonded distribution and warehousing centers.

Perry Mandera began his career driving trucks while serving in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. During this time, he started his own company, which is later sold.

Mandera has a great interest in politics and in 1984, while still in his 20’s, he was elected to serve as a committeeman for the Chicago 26th Republican Ward. He held this position until 1986.

Shortly thereafter, Mandera founded The Custom Companies, Inc.. He was named one of the top 100 American transportation executives of the millennium (2000), by ITA (Illinois Transportation Assoc., where he now serves on their board.

Long with his tycoon reputation in the transportation industry, Perry Mandera has a generous spirit and is a leader in his community. He is philanthropic and supports many charities, particularly those dealing with children, veterans and cancer prevention and cure. He is a board member for The Jesus White Tumblers and The Walter and Connie Payton Foundation. Through his company, Perry Mandera is quick to offer relief like transportation and supplies during crisis times including the tornado that hit Illinois in 2013 and the wildfires in California. The Custom Cares Charities (501c3) is run by Madera and has donated thousands of dollars to the community to ensure that during the holidays, families have reason to celebrate.
